a sala to sit and rest, or just take in the scenery, every kilometer or so.
The falls actually consist of 7 tiers, with each being signposted off the main path, but the sign posts are not always obvious and some of the viewing points have got overgrown, so it can be easier just to head for the seventh tier for the big falls known as Fon Saen Hah. This has a big wooden viewing platform, and a pool which can be swum in, though it's obviously going to be cold and will have some dangerous currents. It's big, it's impressive, it's usually very quiet and it's easy to sit for an hour or so just taking it all in. Bring some food and water as there's nothing much to buy on site.
