-most of the lessons in this book so far have been about the different ways that Thai people might offend foreigners : by asking personal question, by saying farang and so on.This doesn't mean that foreigners never offend Thai people. In this chapter might offend you,and what you should do if this happens.
-First of all, remember that most foreigners are not rude on purpose. If they do something that offend you, it's usually because they don't understand the Thai custom in Thailand, you should never touch the head of another person, but in English-speaking countries, they don't have this custom. If a foreigner touches you on the head will you get angry? What will you do? It's better just to say, Please don't touch my head and then explain the Thai custom. This way you will both be comfortable, and nobody has to get angry.
- however, thereis another way that foreigers might offend Thai people. This is through confrontation. confrontation is relate to get-up-and-go it means that you see a problem, you identify the cause of the problem, and tou immediately go to fix the problem. to understand why this offends people in Thailand, we will first discuss the concept of positive criticism and negative criticism.
