Fried chip Durian
Durian is the seasonal fresh fruit which is ripe fast. Therefore, the sale period is very short. Some years, Durian fresh fruits in the market are over supply and therefore the selling price is very low. Then, Durian farmers including Rayong area got the serious impact by their lower income.
So, Durian farmers try to find the solution how to increase their product value. Finally, they could succeed in transforming Durain fresh fruit to fried chip Durian. This can bring higher profit to Durian farmers. Fried chip Durian is a popular snack. It is one of the good and well known products from Rayong province. It could be kept for long time even for a whole year.
Today, we would like to introduce steps of transforming Durain fresh fruit to fried chip Durian. First step, we have to select Durian which is not yet ripen about 70% ripeness. Most of the popular Durian breed is Mon-Thong. Then, we use knife to cut the white part which covers to Durian seed out. Take only the yellow part. Then, slice this yellow Durian part into thin chips. Then, fry it with vegetable Palm oil. Use the medium heat. When Durian chip is fried until yellowish color, bring up the fried chips and put it on the soft papers as to absorb the excess oil from the chips. Leave it cool down to the room temperature. Finally, spray a little salt over the chips and pack them in the snack package ready to eat.
