concentrations (5e300 mM) on the growth of Z. xanthoxylum were
evaluated under sand culture in this study. We also investigated the
effects of NaCl on the drought resistance of Z. xanthoxylum cultivated
under 50 mM NaCl with variable osmotic potentials
(0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 MPa) and a range of NaCl concentrations
(5e200 mM) with a 1.0 MPa osmotic potential. Lastly, we assessed
the effects of NaCl on the growth of Z. xanthoxylum under the
gradual water stress induced by withholding water for 20 days
under soil culture.
