Fig. 8 shows tan δ, which is the ratio between loss modulus to the storage modulus or the ratio of viscous to elastic properties (tan δ=G″/G′). It is seen that the TPV without the compatibilizer shows a higher value of tan δ than the TPVs with the three compatibilizers. The TPVs with the compatibilizers exhibited a higher elastic response and lower value of tan δ. Therefore, the trend of tan δ at a given frequency can be ordered as: TPV with PhHRJ-PE>TPV with PhSP-PE>TPV HDPE-g-MA>TPV without the compatibilizers. The value of tan δ corresponds to the tension set values ( Table 4), that is, elastomeric properties of the solid TPV with PhHRJ-PE correlates with the tan δ value obtained from the dynamic test.
