Many celebrities yesterday jumped on the ice bucket campaign bandwagon, including former transport minister Chadchart Sittipunt and actor Jirayu “James” Tangsrisuk.
Among the latest to have joined the campaign is founder of the VRZO online variety programme Surabot Leekpai. The only son of veteran Democrat politician Chuan, Mr Surabot put a video of himself under a cascading wall of water on YouTube, which has been viewed by more than 500,000 people as of this morning.
In the clip, Mr Surabot manages to say that he would like to send his challenge to the coup leader Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha before his staffers are seen rushing to cut short the clip in apparent mocking fear of the junta chief.
Some of the comments at the end of the clip include a line from Gen Prayuth’s happiness song: “We will fulfill the promise, just give me some time.”
Another suggested the VRZO programme might soon be shut down.
