I lost friends too and below is my rant I posted a few days ago. You go girl we need to stand firm. I love your video. My husband and I had a long talk today. It made me think about our country and here are my thoughts:
Whether we want to admit it or not we are at war. Every American is at a point where we have to decide what we believe and where we stand. I come from a long line of proud Americans who have fought hard for God, country, family, and freedom. I have resolved I will never back down and I will fight with every fiber of my being that I will fight for my God, my country, my family, and my freedom. I am by no means a radical or extremist. I have always felt I am more conservative with a little bit of progressiveness in me. I love the old ways and feel sometimes you do not fix something that is working. I was raised however that you fight for right. I also enjoy and love that we can have different ideas and opinions. It is what makes our country great. we are a great melting pot of ideas and cultures with no one being more superior to another. This how things work well. In my own home I have an idea and throw it out there to my husband. He often times builds upon it and makes it better or has an even better idea and the same happens in reverse with the ultimate result most often being better than originally envisioned. Our country has always embraced anyone and everyone wanting to come here and make a better life for themselves. They bring new ideas and fresh perspectives. Have we always treated everyone fairly or justly not at all we all make mistakes. This does not mean we must get hung up on the past or continue to use these mistakes as an excuse. The mistakes of past generations are not owned by the current generations. Yes we must learn from the past but we must not keep a perpetual scorecard and continually judge or punish others only God can judge each person based on their own actions. Each person is in charge of their own destiny and responsible for the consequences of the choices they make.
I also understand our country is built upon freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the right to bear arms, the right to vote and defend ourselves. These are foundations we can never turn our back on which lately we are being constantly asked and bullied into doing. These rights are what make us great and stand out as leading nation in the world. It is why our enemies both hate and fear us. Throughout time great civilizations have been brought down from within. They become complacent, lazy, greedy, arrogant. We have started that decline for a long time. We are raising children to believe they are entitled and are becoming distracted by “shiny things” like healthcare, violence, racism, etc. While these are issues that need addressed we cannot get hung up on them and lose sight of or give up our basic rights to solve them.
Slowly we walked away from exercising our rights less people attend church, fewer people own guns, only a small population vote, and bit by bit we continue to allow our freedom to be taken away from us. First voting is the single most important thing a person can do and if you do not exercise that right it will be taken from you. Many have fought and died for us to have that right. Fighting about the fact that you have to show id is futile if do not even vote. Id being shown is not to punish or disallow someone to vote it is to make sure that a person registered is the actual person voting to make it fair and impartial. If you can take an id to a welfare office to get food stamps you can take an id to vote period. Do not complain about our system and voting if you do not even vote. That privilege is reserved for those of us that do. One vote can and has made a difference. Also it may not impact a national election but it can make all the difference in a local election which ironically impact you more than it can nationally. Secondly, protecting our family’s home essential and every home should have the opportunity to do so period. I am not saying arm criminals or allow them to have weapons but if they can get them it is imperative we have them. Not to mention should an attack from outside our nation take place. Do not delude yourself into thinking you can leave the protection to others they may not be able to help.
As far as religion we have been on a slippery slope for decades. We take prayer and God out of everything saying it offends this group or that group. We open businesses during weekends and holidays under the guise of making it convenient when the business brainwash us to believe that and line their pockets with money. The businesses tell us we need the latest gadget or gizmo to live and we believe so we camp out in lines and fight like spoiled children over a few of these covetous items that will be available a few weeks later in bulk. We have become a me society and could care less about our fellow man. Sure we make sad attempts with charitable organizations and what not but do not help when a friend asks or we know is in need. We feign outrage over suffering but condemn a single mother because she is doing what she can to make ends meet. She is considered a bad mother and condemned at every turn. Meanwhile the father has 4 baby mamas and does not take care of anything. We cheapen marriage and devalue it. We make it easy to walk away and financially a punishment to be married. The struggle with the faiths is nothing new it has been around for thousands of years. Sadly, Christianity, Judaism, and the Muslim faiths all have the same core belief in the begin and worship the same God. Where they part ways is Christianity believes Jesus Christ as their savior, while the Muslims believe that Mohammed is the true prophet, and Jews believe that the messiah has yet to come. It breaks down further when sects translate the respective bibles differently and give them human spin. Each faith has their insanity and radical extremists with some sect empowered through fear and intimidation and even becoming cults.
I have said this all to say this. I realize not all Muslims are bad or evil and that there is a small group that are creating the mass terror. This is the problem you cannot just look at someone and tell which is which. You also cannot move to a country and demand they change their views to suit you. Other people immigrated here and did so to prosper and contribute and make a better life. The Muslims are not doing this they are coming over demanding benefits without contributing while threaten to kill us and demand we change our beliefs and values. If you values are in direct contradiction to that country’s foundation it is a no go period. I do not feel the solution is complete eradication of all Muslims that is ethnic cleansing and makes us no better than Hitler. We must however defend ourselves and not allow evil amongst us. Do we want wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, raped, devalued, or beheaded. It is not worth the price. So we must say no and temporarily close borders and create a new method of screening all immigrants not just Muslims. We cannot stand by and watch another Hitler be empowered to kill and harm anyone. We do not want to send our men and women in the military out to be mass slaughtered. We need to admire our military and law enforcement for their selfless devotion to our safety. We must set them above sports figures and celebrities famous for bad behavior or absolutely nothing important. We must make their job easier by obeying the laws and not trying to escape justice when found doing wrong. We must give them a reason to daily want to defend us.
Have we gotten things right in the past no way, the taking of all from Native Americans, slavery, giving bailouts to the rich and allowing the general population to suffer, and the petty bickering and outright thievery of career politicians literally taking all from us while they get wealthier than they already were are black marks on our country. We need to stop. We need to quit being gullible idiots believe every snake oil salesman and defending their poor records. We need to vote out bad corrupt people and get true honest people who do not view serving their country as winning the lottery. We need to quit hating people who have worked hard and succeeded and look within to do so ourselves instead of asking for it to be handed to us. We need to stand up and defend our nation instead of turning a blind eye and allowing crime and bad acts or worse defending them. We need to remember the bad and learn from it. We need to pray to our personal deity and ask for forgiveness and guidance. We need to love and respect one another and not condemn for who or what they are. We need to bring back morals and values and instill them in our future generations. We need to be more selective in believing everything we see or hear. We need to encourage marriage and family and fidelity. We need to encourage families to spend time together and shut off electronics and not go to jobs on holidays or weekends. Sometimes a child drawing a plane or hugging a friend is not fascination with weaponry or sexual harassment. We need to bring consequences back to those who do not go to school and get an education but disrupt and disrespect authority. We need to empower and support parents in their raising of their children not belittle or make things harder because the children are our future. We need to lift up and encourage each other instead of criticising and harming each other. We need to cooperate with other nations that are doing things right and disassociate with those that are not. We need to not let evil among us but seek good. We need to give severe consequences for those who break the law not excuses and slaps on the wrist. We need to empower and place people in power who will pass good laws and do what is needed for the country as a whole not for a special interest who can pay them. We need to breathe fresh air into ou
