In frame rate up-conversion,
some other operations are also access to the pixel data.
In the proposed algorithm, ME, MV post-processing and motion compensation (MC) are related to pixel data, which is illustrated in Fig. 1. Among them, ME and MV projection (MP) are in 16×16 pixels; MR is in 8×8 pixels. Although MS needs no pixel data, the output MVF will be used for MC. Iterative processing of the multi-access in order is not suitable for real-time implementation, for it needs more processing time and memory bandwidth. Therefore, it’s essential to construct a pipelining to improve the efficiency of data reuse.
The pipelining is organized in inter-frame level and intra-frame level.
The illustration of the pipelining is shown in Fig. 12. For intra-frame level, MP, MR and MC are processed
