Dear Steering Committee Member:
Thank you again for agreeing to serve on the ICS Faith/Mental Health Conference steering
committee. We look forward to working with you in planning and hosting our “first to Arizona”
educational conference to focus on the faith aspects of relating to people with mental illness.
As a member of the steering committee, you will be called upon to provide leadership, technical
assistance, and recommendations for conference. Below are some examples of how you can
contribute to the goals of our ICS Faith/Mental Health Conference.
• Representing the confidential information of your business area.
• Representing the interests of your stakeholder group
• Participating in monthly steering committee meetings
• Serving as a resource to the steering committee
• Seeking funding to support conference activities
• Making recommendations for resources for conference speakers and breakout
sessions
• Supporting outreach efforts to raise awareness about the conference
Our first meeting will be held at Interfaith Community Services, 2820 W. Ina Road, on Monday,
November 14, 2011 at noon. Lunch will be provided. After this initial meeting, the steering
committee will the second Monday of each month on the following dates: December 12, January
9, February 13, March 12 (if needed).
We are sending this preliminary notice to remind you to save the date. Directions to the meeting
location, an agenda, and a list of committee members will be provided closer to the meeting.
