supplemented with 1% (w/w) of dried herbs, processed either
DH or OD and crushed, as follows: Greek oregano (ORDH
and OR-OD, respectively), S. offi cinalis ‘Extrakta’ (SE)
(SE-DH and SE-OD, respectively) and S. offi cinalis subsp.
lavandulifolia (SL) (SL-DH and SL-OD, respectively). The
chemical composition of the experimental diets was analysed
according to AOAC (2000).
