Using HMI-ECS, users process basic operation and semi-auto operation. WCS allocate work orders to HMI, and HMI-ECS processes the orders by controlling the equipment. The monitoring function of HMI-ECS includes not only the operation and movement of machine but also the condition, availability, volume of commodities, consumables of equipment. HMI-ECS provides information from sensors to users in real time. HMI-ECS controls a machine at module level and transmits the information related to process or machine status to Edge WCS and Database. And it handles orders from a high level system and control equipment work automatically. In this research, we adopt hierarchical model for automated manufacturing systems (Jones and Mclean 1986; McLean, Bloom and Hopp, 1982). Hierarchical control of warehouse can be applied as follows: workstation can be a group of material handling equipment; cell can be a zone of warehouse and consists of groups of workstation; shop floors consists of groups of cell; and facility can be is a warehouse itself and consists of groups of shop floors.
