examiner who obtained hip extension
ROM measurements was masked to
both the results and group assignment.
Adherence to the stretching protocol,
however, was not measured. Because
other investigators20,21 have demonstrated
that stretching is more effective
than the passage of time, a no-stretch
control group was not included in our
study.
