Tensile behavior.Figure 9 shows the tensile curves in warp wise and weft wise directions for the 12 woven fabrics, which were investigated by the Instron 4411. For the warp wise curves, as shown in Figures 9(a) and (b), the elastic fabrics (1s–6s) and pure cotton fabrics (1c– 6c) show a similar shape for the relationship of tensile load and strain due to the same warp yarns used in all these fabrics. However, a difference is noted that pure cotton honeycomb woven fabrics have a higher Young’s modulus, according to the slope of curve configurations, than that of pure cotton plain woven fabrics.
