We believe that merely growing organic produce is not enough but that we should focus on constantly improving the quality and nutrient density of food. By doing this, everything else on the farm and every relationship in our organic community needs to be working harmoniously, from cultivation to the time our produce ends up on your plate. We believe that being different, being creative and innovative, and encouraging collaboration and partnerships are the future of organic food production. Raitong Organics Farm strives to work on the cutting edge of the organic food sector in the region.Our philosophy and practices are based on 4 key principles:“Food defines us” – We believe that focusing on growing top quality nutrient-dense and delicious food that is both seasonal and locally diverse clearly defines who we are as farmers and how we should run our business.“Our relationships strengthen us” – Forging healthy long-term partnerships between farmers and consumers is critical to ensuring that the food we grow is done in the best way that we can. This means ensuring transparency, accountability and fairness form the foundation of this food-based relationship.“Everything is food for something else” – From cultivation, harvesting, processing and packaging to waste management and our farmer-farmer relations, we believe that the quality of the food that you receive is a clear reflection of how we do things and our respect for the land.“Teach people how to grow their own food and they can eat for a lifetime” – We actively work with our farmer network to ensure that organic standards are always exceeded and that the food they produce is delicious.At Raitong Organics Farm, we believe in a “food first” approach: This means that the farmers that work with us are expected to retain a percentage of their produce every year to satisfy their personal consumption needs, after which the excess will be marketed through us.
