The TEM micrograph of
nylon 6/CNF (0.8 wt%) at low magnification shows that a homogeneous
and nanometer-scale dispersion of the CNFs has been
achieved. At high magnification, mostly individual CNFs are
observed, indicating the effectiveness of the surface modification.
In the TEM images, CNFs appear very short, which is due to the
random arrangement of the CNFs and breaking down of CNFs by
cutting during the preparation of TEM specimen.
