The total dipole moments of doped α-quartz SiO2
are higher than those of pure α-quartz SiO2 except
for doping with V. In addition, the highest value of
total dipole moment is found in Si17MnO26H32.
The results confirm that it is possible to induce
ferromagnetism in pure α-quartz SiO2 doped with
some transition metals such as Mn, V and Cr.
