Influence of imidazole on carotenoids production
Influence of the concentration of a metabolic regulator of β-carotene biosynthesis was evaluated.The YB-252 strain of
R. glutinis was cultivated in to 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask containing 50 ml sterile medium YM. Fermentation was carried
out at 30 1 C on a rotatory shaker at 180 rpm for 72 h. The effect of metabolic regulator such as imidazole at 50 ppm,
125 ppm, 250 ppm,375 ppm and 500 ppm was investigated. The time of addition of imidazole at 0 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h of
fermentation was also evaluated.
