Hysterectomy is a common surgical procedure for uterine diseases. There are several types of hysterectomies according to the route: transabdominal, transvaginal, laparoscopic, robotic, and combined. Total transabdominal hysterectomy (TAH) is one of the traditional procedures for the treatment of uterine diseases. However, TAH is associated with intraoperative and postoperative complications and a long postoperative recovery time because it involves a large skin incision and invasiveness (1).
