mediator of fatty acid metabolism and regulates the expression
of genes involved in lipid metabolism(Jones et al., 1995), being both the
PPARA and PPARG, sufficient and obligatory for fat generation (Rosen
et al., 1999). Whereas PPARG promotes lipid storage by regulating
adipocyte differentiation, PPARA stimulates the beta-oxidative degradation
of fatty acids.
