The language that you use should be easy to understand by your target audience.

Always ensure that you have practiced speaking and pronouncing your presentation script thoroughly. This means pronouncing key words, and also all sentences and script. You should not be look for notes when you are presenting! This is unprofessional and ruins the fluency and clarity of any presentation.
You should know what you will be saying before you begin your presentation!
When giving a short presentation always stand up and point at the graph when you have an opportunity.
If you sit down you are disconnected from the slides and also you will just read from a script. If you stand up, you will actually be presenting and interacting with your slides.

To say ‘This quarter we are up on target’ is not enough. You want to say why. ‘This quarter we are up on target because we sold more …………………………… and we obtained many new customers ’. This will generate interest and wake your audience up!.
