The culture plates that showed discrete
macroscopic colonies were counted using plate colony
counter. The colonies were assessed for the growth of
potential pathogenic bacteria initially by colony
characteristics, haemolysis pattern and microscopic
examination of Gram stained smears. Final
identification was done following standard
bacteriological techniques [11]. The antimicrobial
susceptibility testing was done for every potential
pathogenic bacteria isolate by Kirby-Bauer disk
diffusion method following Clinical and Laboratory
Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines [12].
