The current study included two data collection phases. In the first phase, the researcher phoned the participants to inform them of the date and time that the class observations would take place. Each participant was observed three times for duration of 60 minutes. For the 60 minute classroom observation, the researcher, as non-participant, sat at the back of the classroom and took notes about processes throughout each lesson. In the second phase, the researcher conducted a 10-15 minute semi-structured interview to gather data about the teachers’ opinions towards using activities related to CLT. In the meantime, a tape recorder was used to preserve information from each participant.
