2.8. Statistical analysis
Samples of the 10 replicates of each treatment were divided
into three batches and independently analyzed in triplicate for
each quality parameter. Data were expressed as mean standard
deviation. All statistical tests were performed at a 5% significance
level using SPSS Statistics software (IBM SPSS Statistics for
Windows, Version 22.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp.).
The differences among treatments were analyzed using oneway
analysis of variance (ANOVA). The fulfilment the ANOVA
requirements, specifically the normal distribution of the residuals
and the homogeneity of variance, was tested by means of the
Shapiro Wilk’s and the Levene’s tests, respectively. All dependent
variables were compared using Tukey’s honestly significant
difference (HSD) or Tamhane’s T2 multiple comparison tests,
when homoscedasticity was verified or not, respectively.
