20 years ago, in 1996, David Keen founded the company that would eventually grow into QUO as it is today. Starting in Thailand with just a few members of staff, QUO has now grown to almost 100 QUOsters spread across six offices and two continents working with some of the biggest and most exciting clients in the hospitality and advocacy sectors on projects that set benchmarks for their respective industries. A moment such as this could not go unmarked.
So, QUOsters from all offices came together in Bangkok for the QUO Anniversary Week. The QUO Mingle kicked off the week as people got to know each other over pizza and games. Throughout the week numerous special sessions introduced QUOsters to everything from how brand culture influences website user experience to details on what exactly the QUO production department gets up to, how QUO makes movies, as well as informative workshops on design software and how to make our presentations a little more animated in PowerPoint.
Casual Thursday had everyone appearing a little more laidback than usual with an afternoon at Glowfish. Briefings from the different QUO offices and the advocacy team were followed by Hotel Industry 101 and a creative session from the strategy team that got everyone creating new drink brands.
Friday was party day. Hopping on coaches, QUO headed down to the beach. Team building activities saw QUOsters smashing watermelons and miserably failing at the very simple task of lowering a stick to the ground. The evening brought us emotional speeches, fantastic performances, plenty of food and drink, new friendships and the chance to find which of QUO’s team members would most likely survive the Hunger Games.
A lot of fun was had, connections were built and the foundations were laid for the next 20 years of QUO.
