About not being sure what type of engineer you want to be..well you are not alone Dear jean, most young people have no clue what they want to be
or do for the rest of their lives. I was one of them. At 17 years of age an older friend of mine told me about a new field of electronics that looked interesting.
I did some inquiring and found out that the electronics field required a degree from college or that I could get very good training in the military for free.
My family could not afford to send me to college, so I decided to join the Air Force and get my training there. The rest is history, I worked in electronics
all my life and now I build my own computer systems, and fix computers for our friends.
