From the very beginning, Lisa was fascinated by the interactive nature of the Bricket. She enjoyed making it talk, and having a conversation with it. Among other things, this led Lisa to usie speech almost exclusively for all her output. She said that it was "nicer to talk" than the other options. Noticing this in the first session, I told her about Jim's first project, in which he acted out a play with the Bricket. He would say a line, and then hit a switch, triggering the Bricket to say an appropriate line back.
