* We try to keep the house neat. Host child tracks in dirt on his shoes, spills snacks and craft materials on the kitchen floor, and leaves play things all over the house.
* Keep host child’s play area clean by quickly vacuuming the kitchen floor after him each day and by helping him to clean up one activity before he begins the next.
* Check that host child’s play area is clean and ready for the next day before you go off duty
* Help host child take care of his toys and his space. Host child (and you) must put everything back in its place when you are finished using it or at the end of the day. Please encourage host child to help you pick up his toys, crayons, art supplies, etc. whether inside or outside. He should not assume that you will do everything for him. However, there may be times when you will have to pick up by yourself.
* Bring all of host family’s toys and any sports equipment from outside into the garage or house every night.
* We have house-cleaners that come every two weeks to clean the whole house. They dust, vacuum and clean the kitchen and bathrooms and common areas.
* Help host child clean his toys off all surfaces and get his toys up off the floor before the cleaners arrive.
