Method 2 of 2: Ripe Papaya Salad
Cut a papaya. Use a fully ripe papaya. Wash it, slice in half lengthwise, discard the seeds and slice off the skin. Cut the papaya into bite-sized pieces or spears.
Prepare other salad ingredients. Papayas taste delicious when paired with other tropical fruits. Choose from among the following ingredients to add to your papaya salad:
One avocado, pitted, peeled, and cut into chunks.
One banana, peeled and cut into chunks.
One mango, peeled and cut into chunks.
A citrus fruit like orange, grapefruit or pineapple peeled, seeded and cut into chunks.
