According central limit theorem which states that the sum of a sufficiently large number of independent random variables will be approximately normally distributed, regardless of the underlying distribution. The OFDM modulated signal can be considered as composed of a great number of independent identically distributed random variables. So to identify if the signal is multi-carrier or single-carrier,using the fact that the OFDM is asymptotically Gaussian and perform normality test [6]. Most of the widely used normality tests such as the X 2test or the Epps test are noise sensitive but the classical measure of normality is kurtosis or the fourth-order cumulant.Higher order cumulant is not sensitive to AWGN and kurtosis test is very simple to implement also.
