Bang Pakong Combined Cycle (Unit 1-2 Replacement) Project Technical Document PART 2 - SYSTEM DEFINITION SECTION 2A - CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS EGAT will handover construction area within 1 month after LOI date. For Area l, the existing ground level in the main plant construction area are approximately +2.50 m above the mean sea level (MSL). The existing ground level in the cooling tower construction area is approximately +2.00 m above MSL. The ground floor elevation of the buildings is at +3.0 m above MSL, except noted otherwise. The site finish grading near the building wall is at +2.70 m. above MSL. For Area 2, the existing ground level in the construction area is as shown in DWG. No. BPRP1-C-E-030. The concrete finish surface near tank foundation is at +2.50 m above MSL. The top of slab elevation of the Fuel Oil Forwarding Pump Shelter is at +3.0 m above MSL. The ground surface shall be sloped away from building wall to match the new road around construction area. If the slope is more than l %, the wall shall be required to the edge of the existing ground to flatten steep slope to mild slope. With the exception in Area 2, the existing structures, such as building, facilities, and etc. will be demolished to approximately ground level by EGAT. If the remaining foundations including pedestals, footing and piles obstruct the construction work, they shall be demolished by the Contractor. The Contractor shall demolish and/or relocate all the existing underground and ground level obstacles in construction area shown in DWG. No. BPRP1-C-004. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the correction and repairing works for all damages incurred to the adjacent structures, facilities and etc. caused by the Contractor. The Contractor shall exercise extreme care at all times when (i) transporting equipment or construction materials passing existing transmission line or (ii) constructing the 230 kV GIS Combined Cycle Block Switchyard Building inside the existing transmission system area to avoid interruption and/ or interference of transmission system distribution. Slope stability shall be considered when the Contractor construct any buildings/ structures near river bank especially construction of Cooling Tower. Constnlction method and river bank protection system such as retaining wall, etc. shall be submitted to EGAT prior to start construction of such buildings/ structures. Cost of river bank protection system construction shall be responsible by the Contractor. On completion of the works, all temporary facilities shall be removed (if not required) and the site shall be reinstated to satisfaction of EGAT. The scope of civil works shall include, but not confined to, the following: Volume 2 Page ZA-l
