As one example of this, when asked to list daily examples of impoliteness, Chinese and German individuals were the most likely to list incidents in which an individual insulted them relationally (e.g. made them feel their relationship was not important) whereas English and Turkish individuals were more likely to list incidents in which an individual insulted them personally (e.g. told them something negative about themselves;). Together, these examples highlight differences in perceptions of interactional justice in personnel decision contexts that may be encountered as the workforce becomes increasingly diverse.
