The relationship with a physician is critical. Women want to count on their physician as they go through every stage of their illness from diagnosis to recovery or even death. They want the physicians to show that they care about them. The women expect to receive information from their physicians that is solid, trustworthy, and understandable and in a relaxed and nonthreatening environment. They expect information to be explained in a clear and simple version of English but not so much explanation used in medical terms that is above the level of their understanding.
