Literature survey indicated many plant extracts and
their essential oils showing antifungal activity against a
wide range of fungi (Cowan, 1999) with least impact on
environment. In the recent past, several antagonistic
microbes have been identified as effective biocontrol
agents against plant pathogens. The present study was
focused on invitro evaluation of plant products, bioagents
and compared their efficacy with most effective
fungicides employed in the management of purple
blotch disease.
