Tactic 3 - Logic Manipulation
Logic manipulation makes the reader think "Yes, of course that has to be true". The key to this strategy stating something that is obviously true, followed by a statement containing what you want the user to do. You'll notice this has some elements of the other tactics I discussed. Here is an xample:
"While you're looking at this offer, you learn why you cant afford to waste time..".
There are 2 things going on here - the first part states something obvious- "You're looking at this offer" this is true and logical. The reader can easily understand that to be true. The second part states what you WANT the visitor to do (the embedded command). By putting something that’s logically easy to understand (you are reading this webpage) first it makes the visitor believe that the whole phrase is logical when the 2 parts aren't really linked by logic at all.
This sounds simple because it is. More importantly, it's a powerful tactic copywriters use to make people believe all of what you're saying makes sense.
