My culture
There are many reasons I love my culture. First of all, my culture is more than eight hundred years old, so my life depends on Thai culture such as the religion and holidays. Most of Thai people believe in Buddhism, and they have faith in the doctrine of Buddha. The common names of Thai people come from Pali and Sanskrit; my name also comes from Pali and Sanskrit. In addition, holidays are indication of the life of Thai people such as Songkran’s Day and Chinese New Year’s Day. Both of the days are the most important days of original Thai people and Chinese-Thai people. As for Songkran’s Day, people celebrate the New Year festival. My family will go to the countryside to visit my grandparents. Moreover, as for the Chinese New year’s day, Chinese-Thai people have to prepare the place to worship their gods. People will clean their houses and prepare a ceremony to ask for blessings from the gods. Finally, we should respect our culture. We are the soul of Thai; so on one can change our culture. All of these make us become Thai.
