To further understand the relationships between heterogeneity
in quality performance and variability in managerial
and operations activities, we performed OLS
regression analysis. Main attention is given to the relative
importance and strength of the underlying parameters of
the registered variability in technological management
and diversity in socio-economic arrangements. Hereafter,
the independent and combined effects of both parameters
on quality performance variation are assessed, including an interaction term to account for possible complementarities
or trade-offs. Results are presented in Tables 3
and 4.
