Parallelization is an obvious thing to take advantage of with evolutionary algorithms, and this can be done in many ways. We also anticipate algorithms such as ours being used interactively and iteratively, not in a batch mode with the expectation of a finished solution being produced automatically. When used interactively the feedback provided by the designer, along with any solutions already explored, provide a much better starting point for the next round of processing compared to starting from scratch. Parameter learning across different problem instances might even be effective. We look forward to exploring many of these possibilities.
