In the cogeneration of salt, alkali, and electricity chain, the thermal
power plant uses coal as its raw material to produce heat
and energy. The coal is transformed into coal cinder, which is an
auxiliary material used for the production of cement products. In
addition, some sulfur in the feed coal is transformed into SO2, where
it functions as a waste sulfur resource.
We obtained data from each of the enterprises involved in these
chains to quantify the flows among them. The plants, the quantitative
flows among them (including the form of the sulfur), and
the inputs from and outputs to the park’s external environment are
shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
