At the first step of the micropropagation procedure, seeds of kenaf easily germinated (100%) within 2 days on MS medium providing thus, after 2 weeks of culture, seedlings with two axillary buds. These latter,whencutted and transferred to fresh MS medium (with or without growth regulators) succeeded to induce new shoots and roots.
