Review of findings
This study aimed to understand more about patterns of social networking website (SNS) adoption in internet using older adults. To complete this study, a survey was conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a framework. Support was found for some components of the TAM but no support was found for the model overall.
As predicted, greater perceived usefulness of SNS predicted intention to use SNS. Perceived usefulness was a strong predictor of intention to use both when tested alone, when tested in the original TAM framework, and when tested in an expanded TAM model.
