In the old days, Compared to the availability and the use of technology in a school classroom in the past, times have changed so much. Education has not been development especially technology. All of this leads to one of the more interesting characteristics of current discussions about using new technologies effectively in education. As we think and talk about how to use these new technologies in teaching, we often move rather quickly into thinking and talking about how to learn. These reflections and discussions, it seems to me, are important whether we decide to use a particular technology or not. We should use technology for the sake of the teaching rather than for the sake of the technology, but also that our discussions about technology in teaching are most rewarding, finally, when they lead us to new insights about teaching. Where will these new technologies and others yet to be developed take us in teaching and learning how will learning encounters of the future be different from those in classrooms today however, some caution in assessing the full effectiveness of these new technologies and their impact on teaching on the basis merely of the way we are using them today. Imagine an attempt to assess the impact of the automobile on late 20th century culture on the basis of what could and couldn’t do in the early 1900s. How better, to continue the exploration and use of these new technologies being careful to consider how and to what extent they facilitate good teaching and learning.
