Although these localities are distant from one
another, they bear a remarkably uniform fish composition.
All of the fish-bearing layers contain the
teleost †Luisiella feruglioi (new combination after
Sferco, 2011), the chondrostean †Condorlepis gen.
nov., and a diverse array of dominantly teleost species
(Figure 3). A predator-prey relationship
between †Luisiella feruglioi and †Condorlepis gen.
nov. is suggested by the occurrence of †Condorlepis
specimens with teleost remains in their digestive
system and the frequent association of both
taxa.
