2.1. Sample collection and preparation
The apple (App) and black grapes (GR) were purchased for the local fruit market of Seoul, South Korea. The over ripened (W Ap F) and mature but not fully ripened (W Ap IM) wild apple fruits were collected from the Konkuk University campus (Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea). The black tea (BT) was purchased from a com- mercial supermarket. GR, BT, App, W Ap F and W Ap IM samples of 0.2 g were extracted with 2 ml 80% methanol and sonicated for 10 min. The supernatant, which was collected by centrifugation at 8000 rpm and then dried using speed vacuum served as extract.
