3.6. Correlation between mechanical properties and SOC
concentration
All the mechanical properties of the puddled soil were weakly
correlated with SOC concentration (Fig. 6). The correlations were negative for the maximum and average sinkage resistance
(P = 0.08 and 0.045) and the maximum penetration resistance
(P = 0.06), and positive for the tensile strength at the 1st drainage
(P = 0.02). There was no significant relation for the tensile strength
at the 2nd and 3rd drainages (P > 0.3).
