We present results for the sample of firms with positive exposures in the third
column of Table 2. Consistent with our hypothesis that firms use currency derivatives
as a hedge, we find evidence that exchange-rate exposure increases with the percentage
of foreign sales and decreases with the percentage of foreign currency derivatives.
Our results on both the use of foreign currency derivatives and foreign sales
are statistically significant at the 1% level
