The prov-incial governor has ordered an inquiry into problems over the leasing of land for commercial development at the Singkhon border crossing in Muang district.
Governor Veera Sriwattanatrakul ordered local authorities to look into complaints filed by vendors and atall owners at the crossing.
The business operators said they rented the land for setting up their stalls.But they later discovered the reform,which bans commercial development.
Land reform policy is intended to give access to landless farmers.The vendors complained to the local land of getting into trouble with author-ties.
The land was leased to them by a businessman. There are about 190 shophouses occupying the land.
