Increased continence has resulted in cost savings for nursing
homes, which spend less on incontinence products,
catheters, and linens. Another result is the savings in staff time,
because there is less time spent cleaning wet residents and
changing their clothing and bedding. Staff members have been
pleased, and in some facilities with good continence rates,
turnover has decreased.
