AIBO is a robot dog made by Sony, the Japanese electronics company.
It costs $2,500, and the first 2,000 sent to the US sold out quickly.
This robot pet is much better than older robots because it walk on four legs instead of
using wheels, and because it can stand up again without help if it falls over.
AIBO's owner can have a lot of fun with it. It will chase a bright pink ball,
and look upset if it can not reach it. If some one take the ball away,
AIBO will look angry, and growl like a real dog. When it is happy, is wags its tail
and wave a paw. In the future, Sony will make better AIBO robot that will do many things, and will be less expensive, as electronics machines become cheaper over time. Many people in the future will have robot instead of animals for pet because robot do not get or make a mess and they can be turned off when people go on holiday.
