There are relatively big changes starting from rationale, contents to
implementation in the new wave of mathematics curriculum reform. Teachers are key
persons to achieve the objectives of mathematics curriculum reform. Teachers should
start to recognize the rationale and objectives of mathematics curriculum reform, as
well as the role and function they play in the curriculum reform process. Teachers are
not only implementers of the curriculum, but also important source of power in
undertaking curriculum research, as well as building and exploiting resources.
