Another idea, one used in Bridges To Life, is the unsent letter. Toward the end of the Bridges To Life experience, each participant is required to write two letters: one to a member of his
family and the other to a victim of his crime. The letters to victims
are not to be sent, and those to family members are not written to
be sent, although they often are upon later reflection. The purpose
and value is in the writing, not in the sending.
